     BLACKSHEAR - Mrs. Sarah Jane Minchew,73, died suddenly yesterday at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Haywood Crawford, near Blackshear.
     Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Ben James Primitive
Baptist Church where she was a member with Elder Henry Tyre officiating.  Burial
will be in the church cemetery by Rinehart Mortuary of Jesup in charge of
arrangements.
     Pallbearers will be Duncan James, T.M. Cauley, Lonnie and LeRoy Smith,
Herman Carter and H.G. Stuckey.
     She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ida Hays, Waycross; Mrs. Naomi
Crawford and Mrs. Doris Courson, both of Jacksonville, FL; two sons, Louis and
Emmett Minchew of Blackshear; four sisters, Mrs. W.K. Mock, Mrs. J.P.
Burgsteiner and Mrs. I.L. Youmans, all of Blackshear, and Mrs. Agnes Walker of
Patterson; three brothers, J.R. and C.C. Peacock, both of Blackshear and Ben
Peacock of Goose Creek, Texas.
