A native and lifelong resident of Pierce County, she was the daughter of the late William and Rachel James Peacock and the widow of Wilson Joseph Mock. She was a member of the Ben James Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Henry Moody of Douglas, Mrs. J.R. Thrift of Blackshear, Mrs. Waco Nunez of Fernadina Beach, FL, and Mrs. Rachel Davis of Augusta; three sons, W. Henry Mock and Wilburt Mock, both of Blackshear, and Joseph W. Mock of Waycross; two sisters, Mrs. Macie Youmans and Mrs. Agnes Walker, both of Blackshear; a brother, Lumbie Peacock of Blackshear; 22 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be had at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Ben James Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Tommy Jordan, Elder Lester Boyette and the Rev. Vernon Vaughn, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Ben James Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Omer Peacock, Pieman Peacock, Lumbie Peacock, Leroy Youmans, Alton Burgsteiner and Ira Pearson. The body will lie in state at the J.C. Mock residence, Route 2, Blackshear, until time for the services. Clough-Pearson Funeral Home is in charge.
