He was a native and life-long resident of Pierce County, and was a son of the late Wilson Joseph Mock and Mrs. Mindie Viola Peacock Mock. He was a veteran of World War II, Mr. Mock was a member of the First Baptist Chirch and was employed by a shoe factory here. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Evelena Norman Mock, Blackshear; three daughters, Mrs. Delane Martin, Patterson, Mrs. Margaret Coley and Miss Janice Thomas, both of Blackshear; a son, Lonnie Thomas, Blackshear; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Moody, Douglas, Mrs. J.R. Thrift, Blackshear, Mrs. Waco Nunez, Waycross, and Mrs. Rachel Davis, West Palm Beach, FL; two brothers, W. Henry Mock, Blackshear, and Joseph W. Mock, Waycross; two grandchildren and a number of other relatives. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Luther Peacock and the Rev. Jack Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Ben James Cemetery. The body will be carried to the residence on Barney Street tomorrow. Clough-Pearson Funeral Home is in charge.
