     Mrs. Agnes Peacock Walker, 72, passed away early Tuesday morning following
a long illness.
     A native of Pierce County, she was a daughter of the late William H.
Peacock and Rachel James Peacock.  She was a member of the Laura Chapel Baptist
Church.
     Survivors are five daughters: Mrs. Elizabeth "Dollie" Kimbress of Bartow,
GA, Mrs. Thelma Ward of Piqua, Ohio, Mrs. Lois Pearson of Patterson, Mrs. Hazel
Brown of Stuart, FL, and Mrs. Dorothy Sapp of Blackshear; a sister, Mrs. Macie
Youmans of Patterson; a brother, Mr. C.C. "Lumbie" Peacock, Sr. of Waresboro. 
There are seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a number of other
relatives.  
     Services for Mrs. Walker were held at 3:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon from
the Laura Chapel Baptist Church.
     Officiating were Rev. Carroll Sims, Rev. Clyde Thomas, and Rev. H. Lester
Dixon.
     Clough-Pearson Funeral Home was in charge.
