J.H. Thompson and Rev. H.Lester Dixon officiating. Internment was in the Rehobeth cemetery. For many years Mrs. Peacock made her home in Blackshear but has been living in Jacksonville for a number of years. She was the widow of the late Wiley L. Peacock, a former chief of police of Blackshear. Survivors are one son, Lonnie R.Peacock of Jacksonville; four daughters, Mrs Lillian Ponsell, Mrs. W.J.Moody, Mrs. Robert W.Head and Mrs. Chester H. Peacock, all of Jacksonville. She had eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers were Millard Johnson, H.M.Carter, A.J.Guest, W.M.Tuten, W.W.McDaniel, and C.H.D.Youmans. Active pallbearers were S.A.Griffis, Emmitt Minchew, W.E.Sweat, Troy Ponsell, Roy Peacock, and L.J.Cason. Darling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
