GEORGIA ITEMS
     A. J. Strickland, ordinary of Pierce County, died on Tuesday night at 
Blackshear, after a brief illness. A stroke of paralysis was the immediate 
cause of his death. He has held office in the county for twenty consecutive 
years, and for the past twelve years has been ordinary.
