Tuten, died suddenly at her home Thursday morning. Her parents were the late John and Mary Peeples Peacock, both members of largely connected Pierce County families. Mrs. Tuten was a faithful member of the Ben James Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors are one daughter, Mary Kate Douglas of Atlanta; seven sons; Arthur and Eugene Tuten of Waycross, Horace Tuten of Douglas, Eldridge, Donald, Leroy and Julian Tuten of Blackshear; one sister, Mrs. Daisy Burrell of Blackshear. Funeral services were held Friday from the Ben James Church in Pierce County with Rev.Henry Tyre of Screven in charge. Active pall-bearers were William Tuten, Tracy Youmans, Wallace Stuckey, Adrian Tuten, Ralph Peacock and Alton O'Quinn. Interment was in the church cemetery. The Darling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
