This photo was taken on the farm of James Henry Carter, son of Allice, in 
Volusia County, FL shortly before Allice's death in 1928.  She was living with 
her son's family at the time.  Allice is buried next to her husband John Mills 
Carter in the cemetery of Ramah Primitive Baptist Church in Walkerville, 
Pierce County, GA. Allice and John had six children:  Mary Elizabeth "Lizzy" 
Carter-Stokes, James Henry Carter, John Leonard Carter, Walter L. Carter, 
Nicholls Edward Carter, and Daniel Jackson Carter.  All were born in 
Walkerville, Pierce County, GA.
