Joseph Dixon son of Piety Dixon and an unknown father. Joseph was her oldest 
child and was followed by twin sons Benjamin and Griffin. Piety later married 
William Brown by whom she had further issue. Joseph was married to Martha 
Crawford daughter of Ezekiel Crawford and his wife Margaret.
