To any ordained minister of the gospel, judge, or justice of the peace:
You are hereby authorized to join:  John M Carter and Alice Sirrcy in the holy 
state of matrimony, according to the Constitution and laws of this State, and 
for so doing, this shall be your sufficient License.  Also, you are required 
to return to me this license with your Certificate hereon of the fact and the 
date of the marriage.  Given under my hand and seal of office this 25th day of
