(Fryer) Bloodworth. His father, who was born in Pike County and lived, for time in Monroe County, was later engaged as a merchant and farmer at Milner until his death. His mother survives, making her home at Forsyth. Fielding Fryer Bloodworth spent his boyhood in Pike and Monroe counties, receiving his education in local schools. He began his career in the merchandising field but after four years became associated with the Southern Cotton Oil Company and continued his connection for a decade and a half during which he rose gradually within the organization. In 1930 he joined the International Agricultural Corporation, for which he became division sales manager for the counties of West Georgia and East Alabama, making his headquarters at Columbus. He is a Democrat in politics and although the activities of his business career have prevented him from entering public life, he follows civic developments with interest, lending his support to worthy movements in the public interest. He is a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. On December 28, 1907, Fielding Fryer Bloodworth married Mamie Harper, daughter of William A. And Mary Lee (Darden) Harper.
