Superior Court Minutes 1823-1847 (davidson, Joseph) Written: April 19, 1824 No page number listed. 19th April 1824, Georgia, Pike County. Joseph Davidson, a resident of said county, aged 70 years to verify Revolutionary War Service. He enlisted for the term of two years and six months on the fifth day of May 1776 in the state of North Carolina in the company commanded by Capt. Roger Moore in the 4th Regiment commanded by Col. Thomas Poke in the Line of the State of North Carolina troops on the Continental Establishment that he served in the said corps until October 1779 when he was discharged from said service at White Plains in the state of New York. That he was in the general engagement at Brandywine, Germantown and Monmouth and in several other skirmishes and that he has no evidence now in his power of said services except his own declaration. He had one pot worth $1.50 and a feather bed worth $15. Sworn to and declared on the 19th day of April 1824 before me. Eli S.
