C. Mangham A. T. Camp & Justices L. Daniel Ordered that Willis J. Milner be & he is hereby appointed guardian of the person & property of Henry Morris orphan of John Morris late of said county deceased on his giving bond with approved security in the sum of five thousand dollars - whereupon he executed the bond as directed by the court & gave Henry Smith for security whereupon he was qualified in terms of the law & letters of guardianship issued accordingly [ _ ] ========= Ordered that John Marshal be & he is hereby appointed guardian of his minor children by his present wife Elizabeth Wright alias Marshal together with all the heirs he may have by his said wife Elizabeth as aforesaid on his giving bond with approved security in the sum of three hundred dollars. Whereupon he gave Wesley Leaks for security in the bond as directed by the Court & was qualified in terms of the law & letters of guardianship issued accordingly copied Rule Nisi John Marshal guardian of his son Pendleton Jones Marshal applies to be dismissed from the further guardianship of said P. J. Marshal. Matthews admix & Joseph Goddard admr of the estate of Enoch Matthews deceased) complained to this Court by petition & [ _ ] of the [ _ ] against said E. Matthews admix as aforesaid & the court being satisfied that the grounds of their petition are just & correct. It is therefore Ordered that the said E. Matthews admix aforesaid be & she is hereby required to be and appear at the March term of this court to show cause if any she has why said Howard & Stamper shall not be dismissed from said security ship & give other good security or be dismissed from any further administration of said estate copied ========= The Court then proceeded to the appointment of a clerk for the next two years & on [ _ ] they voted Hugh G. B. Williamson & Justices Lewis Daniel Ordered that Mary Shehee be & she is hereby appointed guardian of the person & property of John Daniel, Mary E., Ann Glen & Thos A. Shehee orphans of Thomas G. Shehee deceased on her giving bond & security in the sum of seven thousand dollars. Whereupon she gave Samuel Mitchell & Simon Slade in the bond directed by the court & was qualified in terms of the law. It appearing to the Court on the showing of Mary Shehee admix of the estate of Thos. G. Shehee dec’d. that she had in terms of the law published her notice that she would apply to this court for an order to sell a part of the real estate of said deceased in order to a just distribution among the legatees & no objections having been filed or [ _ ]. It is therefore ordered that the said Mary Shehee admix as aforesaid be & sha is hereby authorized to sell a part of the real estate of said deceased. On the showing of James L. Head one of the securities of Bethany Head alias Touchstone, admix of the estate of Thomas J. Head deceased, that said Bethany is mismanaging said estate. It is therefore Ordered that said admix be & appear at the next May Term of this Court & show cause why she shall not give other security or be dismissed from the further administration of said estate PAGE 58 It being made appear to this court that Solomon Pace Trustee of the Poor School Fund of Pike County failed to make his return to the [ _ ] academicians at their last Session & [ _ ] [ _ ] to turn over to his successor William V. White all the papers & books (if any) appertaining to his office, in order that Said [ _ ] [ _ ] make the proper showingto the execution & thereby [ _ ] the dividend now due to Said County It is therefore ordered that Said Solomon Pace be & appear at the next May term of this Court & then & there deliver to his successor all the proper papers & books (if any) of his office while acting as trustee of the Poor School Fund & on said Pace failing to attend & make the delivery as above required. V. White executors of the estate of Moses Smith dec’d., that they had in terms of the law published their notice that they should apply to the court for an order to sell the legatees of said estate interest in the widow dower It is therefore ordered that the executors as aforesaid be & they are hereby authorized to sell their interest in said dower ========== On the showing of Young D. Allen Junior executor of the estate of Stokes Allen late of said County deceased, that he had in terms of the Law published his citation for dismission & no objection having been filed, after due examination & it is therefore Ordered that said Allen Executor as aforesaid be forthwith discharged from the further administration of said estate ========== On the showing of John Marshal guardian of his son Pendleton Jones Marshal that he has in terms of the law published his citation that he should apply to this court for letters of dismission & no objection having been having been filed, the court after examination found his acting & doings Just and correct. Allen be & he is hereby discharged from the administration of said estate ========= Levi Martin having brought into court the last will & testament of Mary Martin deceased & having made the necessary proof thereof by all the subscribing witnesses to the same.
