This indenture made this 17th of January in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and twenty six between P.P. Clopton of the one part and John Byram
of the other part Witnesseth that the Said Clopton for and in consideration of
the sum of thirty five Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt Whereof is hereby
acknowledged have this day transferred and do by these presents transfer unto
the said John Byram all his claim to three acres of land situate in the North
West Corner of Lot No. 182 in the first Dist. Of formerly Monroe now Pike County
in Witness Whereof the said Clopton have herein set my hand & seal this the day
& year just above written.

Additional Comments:
Note: This land lot (182) is in the middle of present day Hollonville and is
bounded on the north by Ga. Hwy. 362, on the west by Concord Road, on the east
by property owned by a private airport (Shade Tree) and extends southward as far
as the property owned by Fairfield Church on Concord Road. The northwest corner
mentioned in this deed, containing three acres, is roughly at the intersection
of Ga. Hwy. 362, Hollonville Road, and Concord Road, directly across from the
Baptist Church.  The entire land lot appears to include the property where the
Hollonville Cemetery is located. (Source: General Highway Map of Pike County,
