The petition of Burrell J. Foster, respectfully shows that he is a citizen of said state and county and the head of a family consisting of himself and wife Easter A. Foster age 44 years and four minor children under 16 years of age, to wit, Rebecca Idella age 14 years, and Fannie Ada, age 10 years, Sallie Viola, age eight years, and Ester Jane age five years and the he owns some personal property and fifty acres of land in the 9th district of said being part of number 3 in said district, and that he desires to have land set apart as a Homestead and Exemption for the benefit of his said wife and minor children. Your petition shows that the______is a correct schedule of personal property which he desires exempt from ____and sale under the ________ an laws of Georgia this April 23 1885 and prays and order to the county surveyor. Foster who being sworn says that the above and forgoing schedule of property is correct and that he has placed a fair value on the same, and that the above list of creditors , is all he wishes to notify. Foster on lot No. 3 in the 9th district of said county a homestead of realty, and to plat the same correctly and return said platt with your valuation of ___ land so plated together with this order to my office by or before the 9th day of May 1885.
