T. Phillips of the State aforesaid and the County of Pike of the other part - Witnesseth that the said Joseph Crockett hath this day for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand paid at and before the signing and delivery of these presents by the said James A. T. Phillips paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold, unto him the said James A. T. Phillips, all of his interest as one of the heirs of land and distribute of the Estate of Jonathan Phillips, late of the County of Pike and State aforesaid deceased the said Estate consisting of lands, negroes, and stock and the said Joseph Crockett doth hereby fully sell alein and convey unto the said James A. T. Phillips all his interest in said Estate consisting of lands, negroes, stock and any other species of property of whatever name or whatever the same may be to have, and to hold, all of the interest in the Estate aforesaid unto him the aforesaid James A. T. Phillips his heirs and assigns forever: And the said Joseph Crockett for himself his heirs, executors and administrators the aforesaid interest, in the aforesaid Estate, will warrant & forever defend unto him the said James A. T. Phillips his heirs executors & administrators against himself his heirs executors administrators & assigns & against the right title claim & demand of all other persons or person whatever - In testimony whereof the said Joseph Crockett hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day & year above written Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of Robert Walker Joseph Crockett (seal) Neill Urquhart J.P.
