Henry Jones to A. P. Montgomery

Georgia 
Pike County

This Indenture made and entered into this the Twentieth day of October in the 
year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Fifty Eight (1858) between 
Henry Jones of the one part and A. P. Montgomery both of the County and State 
aforesaid of the other part.  Witnesseth that the said Henry Jones for and in 
consideration of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the 
sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and does by these 
presents grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said A. P. Montgomery 
his heirs and assigns sixty acres of land off of the North West corner of lot 
number Seventy Seven (77) in the ninth of originally Monroe now Pike County all 
rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging.  To have and to hold the 
aforesaid parcel or portion of land unto him the said A. P. Montgomery his 
heirs and assigns together with all the rights members and appurtenances to the 
said piece of Land in any wise belonging to his and their own proper use 
benefit and behoof forever in fee simple and the said Henry Jones for himself 
his heirs and executors and assigns warrents the said bargained premises 
together with the right title and possession thereof unto the said A. P. 
Montgomery his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and 
title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons 
whatever.  In testimony whereof the said Henry Jones hath thereunto set his 
hand and seal the day and year first above mentioned.
