Jones (deed) Georgia Pike County Know all men by these presents that I Henry Jones of said state and county for and in consideration of the love and affection which I have and bear towards my son Alford B. Jones of said County have this day given granted bargained sold & conveyed and does by these presents give grant bargain sell & convey unto him the said Alford B Jones for an during his natural life and after his death to go as hereinafter stated a certain negro boy named Uriah of yellow complexion about twenty two years of age (hereby valued at Twelve hundred dollars, said Alford B. to have the use and control of said negro but said negro in now wise to be subject to the present or future contracts or liabilities of the said Alford B. Jones, and at the death of the said Alford B. Jones said negro to vest absolutely in the children of the said Alford B. Jones and in the event of his dying without children the vest in his wife absolutely and if he should leave neither wife nor children then remainder to the brothers and sisters of the said Alford B. Jones to them & their heirs forever. As witness my hand and seal this 22nd day of February A.D. 1860 Test. Henry Jones (seal) E. W. Miller B. M.
