All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Bob & Linda Ellis http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00017.html#0004075 January 30, 2011, 6:08 pm Written: March 5, 1841 Recorded: July 20, 1841 Henry Jones to John Parker (deed) Georgia Pike County This indenture made and entered into this the 5 day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one between Henry Jones of the County and State aforesaid of the one part, and John Parker of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Henry Jones for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen (dollars) to Him in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged has granted, bargained and sold, and doth by these presents grant, bargain and sell unto John Parker his heirs and assigns Known and distinguished by being the east corner of the west half of lot number two hundred and fifty one in the first district of originally Monroe now Pike County three acres more or less the Zebulon road as it now runs to be the line on the north and the old original line on the South and the cross line to be run straigt from the corner on the Zebulon road starting from a chesnut stak corner running south thirty two rods to the other corner a chesnut stak. To have and to hold said Land to his own proper use benefit and behoof in fee simple and the said Henry Jones for his part will warrant and defend the right and title of said land against himself his heirs executors Administrators or all and every other person or persons whomsoever.
