February the 28th, Eighteen Hundred and Forty Three.  This Indenture made and 
entered into the day and year above written between Dudley Sneed of the one 
part and William Ellis of the other part both of the County and State 
aforesaid.  Witnesseth that the said Dudley Sneed for and in consideration of 
the sum of one hundred Dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing 
and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged 
hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain 
sell and convey unto the said William Ellis his heirs and assigns all that 
tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County and State aforesaid and 
second District of originally Monroe containing seventy five acres more or less 
it being the East end of Lot No. one hundred and two and ninety one to have and 
to hold said bargained premises or parcel of land free from the claim of 
himself his heirs and assigns and all and every other person or persons 
whatsoever and the said Dudley Sneed for himself his heirs and assigns will 
warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof unto the said William 
Ellis his heirs and assigns in Testimony whereof the said Dudley Sneed hath 
hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
