Ellis Georgia Pike County This Indenture made and entered into this the sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one, between Dudley Sneed and William J. Ellis both of the County and State aforesaid as follows, Witnesseth that the said Dudley Sneed for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty Dollars to him in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted and sold and do by these presents grant, sell and convey unto the said William J. Ellis his heirs and assigns sixty acres of land more or less it being the one fourth part of Lot Number one hundred and three, and the one fourth part of Lot No. ninety not claimed by the dower said Ellis holds in said number ninety lying and being in the Second District of the County aforesaid. To have and to hold said bargained premises unto him the said Wm. J. Ellis his heirs and assigns with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging to his and their own proper use and benefit in fee simple and the said Dudley Sneed for himself his heirs and assigns will warrant and defend the right and title thereof free from the claim of himself and all other person or persons whatsoever. Wilson who after being duly sworn deposeth and said that he saw Dudley Sneed sign seal and deliver the written deed for the purpose therein mentioned and subscribed the same as a witness and saw William Morgan and Sarah Sneed do so likewise.
