Blasingame has been in Abbeville for several days past where he has gone to attend a reunion of his brothers at the home of B.F. Blasingame. There are five of the brothers, Mr. David A Blasingame of Malino, Texas, Jon. W., of Culloden, James P., [of] Musella, B.F. of Abbeville, and T.J. of Zebulon, all five of whom were to meet at Abbeville for a good old-time reunion. Mr. David A. Blasingame left her soon after the War and settled in Texas, this being his first visit to see his brothers in thirty years. All five of the brothers served together in the confederate army and only one, T.J., was wounded, having received the wound which caused the loss of his arm. He is the youngest of the five being 65 and David A. the eldest being 77. (Transcribed by Lynn Ballard Cunningham 9/7/02)
