Caldwell who married Miss Vida Dunn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Dunn, happened to the misfortune about ten days ago of losing his arm. While shredding corn, his left arm was caught in the machine and badly bruised and mangled necessitating its amputation just below the elbow. The unfortunate occurrence is greatly regretted by his friends. He had intended moving near Zebulon to a farm which he recently bought but on account of the unfortunate accident which will impair his services on the farm, he will rent out the land and not move as he previously intended. The shredder is the same machine, the property of Mr. T.C. Sullivan, which a few years ago tore off the arm of Mr. Wash Oxford which resulted in his death a few days afterwards.
