Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia: February 3, 1893 Capt. A.S. Allen gave us a pleasant call Wednesday and paid for five copies of The Journal for twelve months which he sends to his children in Texas and Arkansas. There are very few men who stand higher in the estimation of his fellow citizens than Capt. Allen and we are proud of all such citizens. He directs us this year to send his old brother-in-law Wm. M. Joiner a sample copy. (Transcribed 10/27/02 Lynn Cunningham)
