Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, Jan. 24, 1896 The Wilson Case Sheriff Gwyn has orders from the court to eject Cyrus R. Wilson from his premises in the first district. The sheriff went out some time ago to do this, but Mr. Wilson secured an injunction signed by Judge Clark of Atlanta which held up the Sheriff's process. Burr and Daniel, plaintiffs in the case carried the matter before Judge Beck and had the injunction dissolved. The papers have been returned to Pike and now with authority from the court, Sheriff Gwyn will immediately execute the Judge's order and dispossess Mr. Wilson. This case has been in court some time. Mr. Wilson declares that if he is put out, he will sue the sheriff for $10,000 damages. He says that his lawyer, Peter Francisco Smith of Atlanta, says he can recover damages and he is going to sue for it if the sheriff puts him out. (Transcribed 11/17/02 Lynn Cunningham) Note: Cyrus R. Wilson was married to Nancy H. Allen, daughter of Young Drewry Allen and Jane Moore. Cyrus' daughter Mary E., was married to Alonzo Hope Rawls from Coweta County.
