The lawyers are of the opinion that a large portion of the land can be recovered as it has not been settled but that the recovery of much of the tract would be doubtful as they would perhaps be barred by the statue of limitation in the case of improved property. Mr. Eppinger has been dead for 25 years and died without children. The many friends of the family in Pike trust that the reports may materialize and that Judge Eppinger’s family are in a streak of good luck. (Transcribed 9/25/02 Lynn Cunningham)
