August 23, 1907 Henry Williams, an eighteen year old son of Mr. Jeff Williams, accidently shot himself last Thursday. He had been out hunting and returned home and was talking to a friend while holding the gun in his hand pointing toward his foot. In some manner the gun was discharged the whole load passing through his right foot. The wound was dressed by Dr. M.M. Head, who did not find it necessary to amputate the toe, though it was badly shot. The accident was painful, though not serious.
