The Pike County Journal April 15, 1932

The second shooting affair to occur in Pike county Sunday was between King 
Solomon and his brother Ben Hill Solomon, both negroes, who reside near Neal. 
The former shooting the latter who died instantly from the wound.

The version of the affair given The Journal states that King Solomon was 
engaged in cleaning his pistol and that his brother was sitting near and in a 
tease told him that he would not shoot. To this, it is said King Solomon 
replied with an oath and fired point blank at his brother.

Sheriff Shackleford and Deputy Ballard rushed to the scene where they captured 
King Solomon who is being held in the Pike County jail on the charge of murder.
