The funeral services being conducted by his pastor, Rev. McKay, Rev. Holland, pastor of the Methodist church and Rev. Gideon Horne of Meansville, his former pastor. Mr. Knight was a good man, a member of Jones Chapel church, [and] a brave Confederate soldier under Lee. He is survived by his widow and 12 children. Mrs. Eugene Weaver is one of his daughters. He had many friends in Pike County.
