There seems to be no reason for the shooting except pure devilment. An inquest was held on Monday and Williamson has fled. Additional Comments: James Monroe Williamson went to Texas, where he was killed in 1917: Dallas Morning News - June 22, 1917: Shooting Southeast of Elmo. Special to The News Terrell, Texas. June 21. - Mon Williamson, a farmer residing on the Taylor Boshear farm southeast of Elmo, was shot with a shotgun about 8 o'clock this morning. fifteen shot taking effect in his chest. John Bryant, another farmer residing on the same place, has been arrested and is being held by Constable Parker of Elmo, pending results of Williamson's wounds.
