Barnesville Gazette April 16, 1885

Mrs. E.M. Story began to make up the bed in which her little sister slept, and 
found a moccasin coiled up near the pillow. She went to the field for her 
husband to kill the snake, which her did, and found it to measure two and one 
half feet in length. Alice, the little girl, went on to school crying and 
telling all she met that she had slept with a snake last night.
