Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia A New Trial for Delk Judge Beck heard the motion for a new trial in Taylor Delk’s case in Atlanta Monday. Delk has been twice tried and convicted of killing our noble sheriff, but both times has been granted a new trial on technicalities. Affidavits were produced Monday showing that Sheriff Gwyn was a 4th cousin of J.H. Shackleford, one of the jurors that sat on the case, which was sufficient ground to grant a new trial, which was done. The case will not be heard before the March term, and of course Tom [Delk] will get a respite, as he is an important witness.
