Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia Mad Dog Killed Mr. Gip Johnson of near town had the misfortune to become involved in a fight with a mad dog near his home last Saturday. Mr. Johnson was cutting wood near his house when the dog came upon him unnoticed. The dog made a leap for his neck but he missed his mark and his teeth were fastened in Mr. Johnson’s coat. Mr. Johnson then seized the dog by the throat and throwing him to the ground sat on him until he was choked to death. Mr. Johnson was bitten in one of two places and he immediately secured a madstone which adhered to the wounds.
