Resolutions on Death of William P. Holmes

Whereas, in the wisdom of the Supreme Architect of the Universe, our brother, 
William P. Holmes, has been called to his celestial heritage, and,

Whereas, in his going our lodge loses one whose daily walk amongst us through 
fifty-six years of Masonic life reflected in all its relationship the exalted 
principles of purity, charity and brotherly love

Therefore, be it resolved,

First, That in the death of our brother Pinta Lodge has lost one whose life in 
its lofty conceptions of truth and honor sought merit and not fame; whose 
contact with his fellow men convinced them that the tributes of its earlier and 
lustier days made sure an October season beautiful and full in its delightful 
fruitage; a fruitage abundantly rich in its pursuit of the good men.

Second, That the Pinta Lodge file within its archives this estimate of our 
brother whose Masonic career illustrated a life delicately adorned with the 
highest of virtues.

Third, that we extend to the family of our deceased brother our warmest 
sympathy in this dark hour, assuring them that we share with them the deep 
sorrow and keen sense of personal loss which the death of our brother brings.

Fourth, That a copy of these resolutions be furnished the family of Brother 
Holmes and the News-Gazette for publication.
