Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia This body held its annual meeting at Bluff Springs campground on Thursday, July 27, 1899. Opened by singing "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder," after which the president, Maj. Jno. T. Hunt led in prayer. The roll of veterans was called and revised. It was found that there about 210 Veterans now living in the county. Eleven deaths were reported during the last twelve months - Capt. W.D. Redding, M.R. Hagan, Z.L. Fryer, W.J. Thornton, Dr. C.F. Redding, James Willoughby, Lieut. H.H. Strickland, W.B. Key, W.H. O’rear, W.H. Legg and E.F. Martin. The records show that Pike county furnished 789 soldiers for Confederate services.
