Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia Arthur Scott Robbed Ed Scott, of Hollonville, was here Wednesday and told of the robbery of his brother, Arthur Scott, which occurred at his home near Hollonville last Friday night. Mr. Scott said that his brother was called out and going to the door and receiving no response, he returned to his room and pulled off his shoes preparatory to going to bed, thinking that some of his friends had called him in order to have a little Christmas. He was called several more times and he lighted his lantern and went out but again failed to discover any one. He was called out the third time and when he opened the front door, two men were standing on the porch and they grabbed him, placed a cloth over his eyes and something in his mouth. He was then led out in the cold rain and was compelled to pull off his shoes and walk up and down the ruts in the road. He was turned loose and was told to put on his shoes. He thought he had a chance to get away, and run. He was knocked down with a rock and was robbed of $40 in money. Mr. Scott’s wife becoming alarmed after missing him for some time, went out and found him lying on the ground in an unconscious condition. She gave the alarm by ringing a bell and the neighbors soon assembled and carried him to his home and made a search for the robbers but it proved futile.
