Mrs. T.W. Cochran was very seriously burned last Friday morning about 8 o'clock. She had been feeble for some days, but she felt sufficiently strong to get up that morning and was standing before the fire. Her clothing caught on fire and she was quite severely burned before the fire could be extinguished. Dr. Thurmond and other friends waited on Mrs. Cochran and did everything possible to alleviate her suffering. One whole side was quite seriously burned and she has suffered much since that time. The whole community were made sad by the unfortunate accident and all extend sympathy to Mrs. Cochran and her family and friends. (Transcribed 12/5/02 Lynn Cunningham) File size: 1.1 Kb
