Griffin, Georgia Preliminary Examination On yesterday Justices Collens and Sherrill were engaged in the trial of James Segraves, Jr., charges with the murder of Bob Brown. Our readers will remember the notice of a stabbing which occurred last November on the place of Mr. W.J. Bridges near Creswell. The evidence disclosed the fact that Segraves stabbed Brown about [?] times with a knife and that Brown died in May from the effects of the wound. The defense admitted the stabbing but claimed justification. The court decided that the case needed further investigation and remanded Segraves to jail to await the action of the grand jury.
