Barnesville, Ga. 53 Georgia Veterans They Meet and Arrange for a Reunion at Jackson A meeting of the survivors of the 53d Ga. Vols., was held at the brick warehouse in Griffin, Tuesday, at which the following companies were represented: Co. A. - J.B. Bostwick, J.T. Smith, J.R. Gray Co. B. - R.A. Wilson, J.T. Stewart, John A. Thompson, Marion Stroud, H.P. Maddox, J.C. Maddox, T.O. Maddox Co. F. - Charlie Ross, S.M. Price Co. I. - J.B. Evans, T.J. Williamson, W.B. Ingram, C.T. Foster Co. K. - A.F. Pritchard J.B. Bostwich was made chairman. It was moved by J.B. Evans that the 53rd Reg't. meet with the 30th Reg't. at Jackson on Sept 19th, which was carried. On motion, the chairman appointed a committee of one from each county to have the proceedings of the meeting published in the Griffin News and Sun, and the papers of Henry, Newton, Butts, Monroe, Pike, Coweta and Fayette. The following persons were named on this committee: J.B. Bostwich of Henry, J.B. Evans of Butts, C.T. Foster for Spalding, Charlie Ross of Pike, A.F. Pritchard of Monroe. The papers of Coweta and Fayetteville will please copy. On the motion of J.T. Williamson, the following committee of five was appointed to receive baskets: J. Tom Stewart, John A. Thompson, W.B.
