Harden claimed that the killing was accidental, but the grand jury returned a true bill against him for murder. He surrendered to the officers and on yesterday, represented by Judge Hall of Griffin and Col. J.F. Redding of Barnesville he had a hearing before Judge Boynton on an application for bail. The bond was fixed at $3000 which was made and Harden was liberated. (Transcribed 10/10/02 Lynn Cunningham)
