Pike County Times-Journal, Zebulon, Ga. July 19, 1907

The Old Vets of Camp 421 and sons of Veterans will hold their annual reunion 
at Bluff Springs on Thursday, August 1st. All veterans and their families, and 
all lovers of the Grand Old Cause, and the precious memory of Davis, Lee, 
Jackson, Johnson, Beaureguard, Gordon, Forrest and many others, are cordially 
invited to join the Old Vets and participate in the pleasures of the day at 
the time above named.

We have arranged with two of the most prominent speakers in Georgia to address 
us during the morning. I have heard both of them, they are sons of veterans, 
and will highly entertain and interest you. We have also arranged for fine 
musical entertainment. We will have an organ or piano, and Mrs. L.K. Rogers, 
the loyal and unreconstructed little rebel (if you please) has kindly and 
gladly consented with twenty or twenty-five other ladies to render us 
Confederate Music for the occasion. We have also arranged for tables 120 feet 
long, and kindly ask every family to bring well filled baskets also table 
cloth ten or twelve feet long to cover tables, a pitcher and a few tumblers.

After dinner, for an hour, we will have reminiscences and experiences of some 
of the Old Vets of the bloody days in the sixties. After which the sons of 
veterans will assemble their organization and perform such duties as may come 
before them.

Let everybody come and join us in the pleasures of the day. Exercises will 
begin promptly at 10 o’clock. Don’t forget it.
