Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, October 11, 1895 Will Ridley of Beeks was carried to Macon Monday by a deputy marshall and bound over in the sum of $300 to answer before the U.S. court for interfering in some way with the mail at Beeks. The Journal learns that there are certain circumstances which will greatly mitigate [the ] offense if indeed an offense has been committed. Mr. Ridley only recently married the charming daughter of Mr. S.S. Coggin and has many friends who were greatly surprised to hear of such a charge against him and who hope that he will be able to show to the court that he is guilty of no criminal conduct.
