Huckaby of Hollonville, Ga. Harry was just a few days past his eleventh year when he died. He was sick thirty days and suffered intensely to the very last. Harry was a good boy and manifested a Christian spirit through all his sickness. He was a dutiful son, and a loving brother. He was passionately fond of his mother. He was always ready to respond to her calls. He anticipated her wants and met them with a cheerful spirit. When his mother had to stay at home, he would volunteer to stay with her and let the rest go. He was a mother’s boy. There was that sweetness and tenderness in his nature that made him lovable. He was rational to the last, and in all his sickness, humility and love stood to the front. When death came, he just folded his hands and went to sleep. Harry will be missed, and none will miss him more than his mother. Harry’s chair will be vacant, but the good father has given him a seat in one of the bright mansions above. - A Friend (Transcribed 9/24/02 Lynn Cunningham)
