Mitchell, Mrs. Kendall, [and] Mrs. R.J. Powell, died on May 1st. Mrs. Mitchell was in her 86th year, [and] was a noble type of Christian womanhood. The readers of The Journal will remember a sketch that appeared in these columns last year in regard to the prominent part taken by the Mitchell family in shaping the interest of the county. Mrs. Mitchell leaves worthy children and a host of friends to cherish her memory and profit by emulating her virtues.
