Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, May 31, 1895 Mrs. Knight Dies Mrs. Francis H. Knight died at her home near Molena this week. Mrs. Knight fell about a year ago and broke one of her hips and since that time has been an invalid. This injury was, perhaps, the indirect cause of her death. Mrs. Knight's husband, Brit Knight, was a good soldier in the gallant 13th Ga. regiment and was killed at the battle of Malver [sp] Hill in Virginia. Mrs. Knight was a member of the Methodist church at Molena and had many qualities of heart that endeared her to those who knew her. She was a pensioner of the state under the statute providing for the widows of confederate soldiers, and thus they, too, are passing away (Transcribed 11/03/02 Lynn Cunningham)
