Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, Jan. 31, 1896 Mr. John Lifsey, of Lifsey, died last Sunday of cancer of the wrist. Blood poison resulted from the cancer. He was buried at Fincher's church on Monday, Rev. A.B. Pope conducting the funeral services. Mr. Lifsey was 72 years old and has been a member of Fincher's church for a long time. He lived an exemplary life, one which his nine surviving children may contemplate with great satisfaction.
