Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, Mar. 27, 1896 Dr. W.C. Blalock died at his home on Thomaston Street in this city Thursday morning at 3 o'clock. Dr. Blalock was born in Fayetteville, Ga., September 17th 1848, was educated and attended the college of Medicine at Louisville, Ky., where he graduated. He began practicing at 21 years and at the age of 22, married Miss Mattie Tyler of this place. Dr. Blalock moved to Barnesville early after his marriage to Miss Tyler and did a lucrative business here for many years til his health failed him, and he never regained it. Dr. Blalock leaves four children, together with many relatives and kind friends, who have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad affliction. The services were conducted at the residence by Rev. Mr. Brinsfield, and impressively terminated at the Methodist Cemetery - Barnesville Home Journal.
