L. Allen 86, Claimed By Death Monday A. M. Mr. Robert L. Allen, well known Pike county farmer, died at his home near Zebulon early Monday morning, following a long illness. He was 86 years of age and had been in declining health for the last two years. Funeral services were conducted the graveside in East View cemetery at Zebulon Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. M. M. Maxwell, pastor of the First Methodist church of Griffin, officiating. Burial took place in the West View cemetery with Frank S. Pittman funeral director, in charge. Surviving Mr. Allen are four daughters, Mrs. Walter Beauchamp and Mrs. W. P. Blanton, of Williamson, Mrs. R. S. Dupree, of Zebulon, and Mrs. Fred Smith, of Thomasville; two sons, H.R. Allen, of Williamson, and D. T. Allen, of Molena; and a brother H.C. Allen, of Bainbridge. (Transcribed 11/19/02 Dawn M Hill)
