Armistead Dead Col. E.C. Armistead, the well known attorney, who has been in ill health the past several years and almost entirely confined to his home on Brown avenue, died Monday night. The funeral and burial occurred from his home Wednesday. Col. Armistead was about sixty years old and was known throughout this section. He had practiced at several points in the state and came to Barnesville some years ago from Zebulon. He is survived by his wife and several children, to all of whom the people of the community will extend tender sympathy in their sorrow. also: The Atlanta Constitution October 24, 1918 Col. E.C. Armistead Barnesville, Ga., October 23 - (Special) - Colonel E.C. Armistead, a well- known attorney, died here Tuesday after an illness which had lasted about two years, during which time he submitted to two or three operations from an infected foot. He was about sixty-five years old and for many years had practiced law in different parts of the state. Several years ago he moved to Barnesville from Zebulon. Colonel Armistead is survived by his wife, several sons and a daughter. The funeral and burial will occur here Wednesday.
