Griffin Tri-Weekly Star, Griffin, GA., Saturday, April 4, 1868
We are pained to learn of the death of Dr. W.B. Baker, which occurred on 
Thursday evening last at his residence, in Pike County, after several days of 
intense suffering from pneumonia. Dr. Baker was highly esteemed by all who knew 
him, and his place cannot be filled in the county which he lived.

Dr. William Battle Baker was born 04 January 1829 in Georgia, and died 02 April 
1868 in Pike County, Georgia. Burial: Hollonville Cemetery, Pike County, Georgia
